Verse of the Day |
Can I become a God?
"Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me."
---Isaiah 43:10 (KJV)

Perform a Weekly Nozzle Check on Your Printer
The nozzles on your inkjet printer are so tiny that they aren't even big enough to fit a hair from your head. Because of that, they are by nature prone to clog. Poor printouts that have gaps or streaks are an indication that you have clogged jets.
Modern printers come with at least two utilities to help prevent and fix clogs. The first is what Epson calls a "Nozzle Check." Other manufacturers may call it something else. The photo to the right is an example of a printout from a nozzle check. The top illustration shows a perfect printout, and the bottom one has a problem! I like to perform a nozzle check once a week to make sure my printers are working correctly.
The other utility that printers have is called a "Head Cleaning." This is a process that your printer can perform to unclog a head. Most printers will do an automatic head cleaning from time to time, but if you have a clog, you may have to use this utility. Keep in mind that head cleanings usually consume a lot of ink, and that's why I like to do a nozzle check weekly!
Check your printer manual to find out how to get to these utilities. If you're not sure how to find them, or need help with a nasty clog, give us a call. By the way, I've found several good places to get the generic ink cartridges. Meritline.com is one of them, and Abcink.com is another place I buy my own cartridges. I print tons of stuff and the generic cartridges work great!
